A delicious Iconic white wine from the Cru vineyards of legendary Italian wine maker Roberto Anselmi and a Wine Spectator Top 100 (60) 2016. Anselmi wines appear on the lists of most Michelin Star restaurants in Italy! Opening with Intense aromas of Mango & Passionfruit then more tropical notes of Pineapple and ripe Guava, the ANSELMI SAN VINCENZO 2016 is a crisp, very juicy, refreshing white wine reminiscent of a very fine Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc but without that cloying acidity. The palate is succulent and crisp with a long flavoursome finish. Dry 8.5 gms RS but very juicy. ABV: 13% Lees ageing: 6 Months with wild yeasts. Bottle aged 3 Months Shelf Life: 5 years Grapes: 70% Garganega /30% Sauvignon Blanc & a splash of Chardonnay 54 hectares / Yield: 45 Hectolitres Volcanic tuff & partly limestone. Top South facing slopes in the hills of Monteforte, Verona (Soave) but incomprable with Soave wines. Roberto Anselmi famously divorced from the Soave DOC so that he could have the freedom to make much higher quality wines and different blends.
