HERON VALLEY TRADITIONAL STILL FINE CIDER
Kingsbridge lies inland from Salcombe. In this part of South Devon the land is riddled with small, steep valleys. All the rivers rise high-up on Dartmoor and then find their own way down to the sea, twisting and turning through oak woods and quiet meadows. The valley of the herons is no exception.
Pressed through Acacia boards and cloth, this award winning authentic Devon Cider is made using Devon Cider apples from thier own and other local ancient orchards within 15 miles of Heron Valley. The freshly pressed sweet juice is then fermented using the naturally occurring wild yeasts on the skins of the apples, before being aged in oak barrels.
No sulphites, yeasts or water are added, just un-sprayed Devon Cider apples and patience.
Ingredients: Devon Cider apples (nothing else!), for our medium cider we add a pinch of organic cane sugar.
